Sara is an excellent teacher, she is really good with my daughter. Coached her for her Grade 3 exam and she received distinction.
Do you teach evenings and weekends?
Currently I only teach during the school day (10am - 3pm) Monday to Thursday, this is due to my own family and singing work commitments.
Do you have a waiting area for parents?
There is no waiting area, but there is free parking in my road, and Sainsbury's and other shops (chemist, cafe, post office etc) are 5 minutes' walk away.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking in my road.
Do you teach at students' homes?
I don't teach at students' homes. Lessons take place in my purpose-built garden music studio at my home in Thorley, Bishops Stortford.
Can parents sit in on their child's lesson?
This is fine for the first / consultation lesson, but after that, parents will need to leave during the lesson, to allow their child to concentrate.
Do you offer consultation lessons?
Yes, I offer a one-off consultation lesson (45 minutes), where students can find out more about the lessons, we sing together and work on some introductory technique, and see if we have a good pupil-teacher fit. There is also the opportunity to ask questions, and parents may sit in on the session if they wish. There is no obligation to sign up for more lessons following your consultation.
